PRK Tenang : 'Interlok' jadi modal murahan Anwar Ibrahim untuk raih undi

Anwar Ibrahim dan Pakatan Rakyat memulakan kempen PRK Tenang dengan isu 'Interlok' bagi meraih sokongan undi kaum India. Novel tulisan Sasterawan Negara, Datuk Abdullah Hussain telah dimanupulasi dan dipolitikkan sehingga menimbulkan persepsi negatif dikalangan kaum India.

Sebelum ini, HINDRAF bertindak membakar novel itu sebagai tanda protes walaupun pelbagai dialog dan perbincangan sedang dijalankan oleh pihak kerajaan dan NGO.

Jelas pemimpin pembangkang ini dilihat hanya pandai mensensasikan isu dan menghasut tetapi tiada kemahuan untuk mencari jalan penyelesaian.

Penduduk Kg Buah Pala, High Chaparral di Pulau Pinang sudah ditipu  dengan janji Anwar Ibrahim dan Pakatan Rakyat. Kaum India di Tenang wajar berhati-hati.

Anwar: We Must Challenge the Use of Interlok as a Textbook

LABIS, 22 JANUARY, 2011: Pakatan Rakyat DeFacto leader, Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim said that the novel Interlok should be challenged solely on  textbook context rather than on literature context.

"Pakatan Rakyat stand on the Interlok issue is that, it should be discussed as a textbook" said Anwar.

Anwar reasoned out that Interlok, if to be viewed as a literature, "then it is of course, means no harm."

"What we must challenge is, the use of the novel as a textbook and the sentiment that the novel portrayed. What worries the most is if this sentiment is to be perceived lightly by the Ministry of Education, the effect of it will bring racial disharmony to this country," added Anwar.

Anwar calls on Indian community to come together and vocal out their opinion on right basis (the use of Interlok as a textbook)

Anwar said this to hundreds of Indian community who gathered for a dinner here in Labis.
